Eugene OR Approves Community Climate Action Plan 2.0: The Eugene OR City Council approved an updated Climate Action Plan with a focus on centering equity, moving toward carbon neutrality, reducing fossil fuel use, and adapting to climate change.

Leon County FL Receives SolSmart Gold Designation: Leon County FL is one of the first counties in Florida to achieve SolSmart Gold designation, a program recognizing local governments that streamline solar permitting requirements and take other steps to encourage solar development, like a three-day turnaround time for small rooftop solar PV permits.

Asheville NC to Install 7 MW of Solar Energy: Asheville NC is partnering with Buncombe County NC, the local community college, and city and county schools to install nearly 7 MW of on-site solar energy on rooftops, ground mounts, and parking canopies.

Shoreline WA Releases Climate Impacts and Resiliency Study: Shoreline WA recently completed a Climate Impacts and Resiliency Study that identified climate change impacts and areas of vulnerability with a core focus on its surface water system and developed a storymap, sector-specific factsheets, and a GIS mapping tool.

Charlottesville VA Joins Forest and Trees Carbon Accounting Cohort: Charlottesville VA is participating in the 2020 cohort for ICLEI's Forest and Trees Carbon Accounting technical assistance program to assess the emissions and removals of carbon through forestry and urban tree management.

Chicago IL to Create New Air Quality Agenda: Chicago IL announced plans to create an agenda based on data from its Air Quality and Health Report to both improve air quality and promote equitable economic growth, particularly in communities of color which experience greater environmental and economic disparities.
