Welcome to the USDN National EPA TCTAC!

We're so glad you found us.

The EPA Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center (TCTAC) Program aims to support local governments and communities in their efforts to create sustainable and thriving environments, while addressing place-based environmental justice concerns. The program’s goal is to provide training to local governments, Tribal governments and organizations, and community partners to build capacity for navigating federal grant application systems, develop strong grant proposals, and effectively manage grant funding.

There are 13 Regional Centers and 3 National Centers through which you can gain access to:

Technical Assistance: Receive guidance and support in areas from federal grants strategy and project prioritization to equitable community collaboration and building community resilience.

Funding Opportunities: Learn about available funding sources and grants through the Thriving Communities Network to support your community projects and initiatives.

Training and Workshops: Participate in workshops, webinars, and training sessions designed to enhance your skills and knowledge in pursuing equitable climate action and securing federal funds.

Ready for assistance?

USDN is part of a National TCTAC led by the International City/County Management Association, with the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals, National League of Cities, and the National Forum for Black Public Administrators.

You can request assistance via the intake form here (for "How did you find us?" please enter "USDN"). USDN is primarily providing support with project ideation, prioritization, matching to funding opportunities, equitable community engagement, collaboration, and partnership on federal funding. The team will review your request, sort out which national or regional partner would be best suited to support you, and contact you soon.

Our TCTAC is targeted to serving local governments, Tribes, and their community organization partners, but any nonprofit, community organization or other eligible entity is welcome to submit an intake form and we'll be sure to match you with the right folks for support!
